Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 13 September 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how ABP Digital Solutions handles cancellations, refunds, credits and related payment matters for products and services purchased from us.

1. General Principle

Refunds and cancellations are assessed according to the type of product or service purchased, the stage of work completed, any third-party costs already incurred, and any applicable South African consumer-protection rights.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

2. Service Cancellations

Customers may request cancellation of a service by contacting ABP Digital Solutions in writing at:

Email: digitalsol@abpservices.co.za

The effective cancellation date will generally be the date on which ABP Digital Solutions receives and acknowledges the cancellation request.

Where work has already started, the customer may remain responsible for fees relating to work already completed, commitments already made, or third-party costs already incurred.

3. Deposits and Upfront Payments

Where a deposit or upfront payment is required to begin work, that payment may be used to reserve resources, secure third-party services, perform initial analysis, configuration or setup, or begin project delivery.

If the customer cancels after work has started, ABP Digital Solutions may deduct reasonable charges for work already completed and non-recoverable costs already incurred.

Any refundable balance, where applicable, will be calculated after these deductions.

4. Final Payments

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, any outstanding final payment must be settled before final deliverables, production credentials, completed websites, source files or other final project assets are released.

Payments already made for fully completed and delivered work are generally not refundable, subject to applicable law.

5. Website and Consulting Services

For website development, consulting, architecture, analysis, digital transformation, AI advisory and similar professional services, refunds will depend on the stage of delivery.

Where substantial work has already been performed, the refundable amount may be reduced to reflect the value of work completed.

If no meaningful work has commenced and no third-party costs have been incurred, ABP Digital Solutions may consider a full or partial refund, subject to applicable law and the specific agreement with the customer.

6. Domain Registrations

Domain registrations are generally non-refundable once registration, renewal or transfer has been successfully processed.

This is because domain fees are typically paid to registries or registrars and may not be recoverable by ABP Digital Solutions.

Customers are responsible for confirming the correct spelling and selection of a domain name before registration.

7. Hosting, Business Email and SSL

Hosting, business email and SSL certificate services may involve prepaid third-party costs, licence fees or provisioning charges.

Where such services have already been activated or purchased from a third-party provider, the associated fees may be non-refundable if the provider does not permit refunds.

Where cancellation occurs before activation, ABP Digital Solutions may consider a refund, less any administrative or transaction costs already incurred.

8. Digital Products

Digital products, downloadable content, templates, eBooks, digital publications and similar products may not be refundable once access has been granted, download has occurred or delivery has been completed, except where required by applicable law or where the product is materially defective or not as described.

9. Recurring Services and Renewals

Recurring services such as hosting, email, subscriptions, licences and related services may renew periodically.

Customers who do not wish to renew should notify ABP Digital Solutions before the applicable renewal date.

Failure to cancel before renewal may result in renewal charges becoming payable where third-party services have already been renewed or committed.

10. Payment Gateway and Transaction Fees

Payments may be processed through Paystack or other approved payment providers.

Where a refund is approved, the refunded amount may be affected by transaction fees, payment-gateway fees or other charges that are not recoverable from the payment provider, where permitted by law.

11. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments

If a customer believes that a duplicate or incorrect payment has been made, they should notify ABP Digital Solutions as soon as possible.

Once verified, any valid duplicate or excess payment will be refunded or credited, subject to payment-provider processing rules.

12. Service Defects or Non-Delivery

If a service is materially defective, substantially incomplete, not delivered as agreed, or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal or contractual requirements, the customer should notify ABP Digital Solutions promptly.

ABP Digital Solutions will assess the matter and may, depending on the circumstances and applicable law, repair, correct, re-perform, credit or refund the affected service.

13. Customer Delays or Non-Cooperation

Where a project is delayed because the customer fails to provide required information, content, approvals, credentials or access, this will not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.

ABP Digital Solutions may place the project on hold or revise the delivery timeline where customer input is outstanding.

14. Third-Party Costs

Amounts paid to third parties on behalf of a customer may be non-refundable where those third parties do not allow cancellation or refunds.

These may include domain registries, registrars, hosting providers, software vendors, certificate authorities, cloud service providers, payment processors and other technology suppliers.

15. Refund Method and Processing Time

Approved refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

Processing times may vary depending on the bank, payment provider or payment method used.

ABP Digital Solutions will make reasonable efforts to process approved refunds promptly after approval.

16. Credits

In some circumstances, ABP Digital Solutions may offer account credit instead of a cash refund, subject to the customer’s agreement and applicable law.

Any credit conditions will be communicated at the time the credit is issued.

17. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

To request a cancellation or refund, please provide:

  • your name or business name;
  • invoice or order reference, where available;
  • the product or service concerned;
  • the reason for the request; and
  • any supporting information reasonably required to assess the request.

Requests should be sent to:
